We all have a choice

Toastmaster International has been a great organisation to be involved with.

I love the power of the spoken word and Toastmasters is what I consider my speaking-gym. It's the chance to prepare, practice and deliver a speech when there is no other "stage" available.

Hybrid communication - both in-person as well as virtual - is the new skill for communicators moving forward. Toastmaster is very well positioned to support you in developing these skills.

My personal belief is that if you master this skill, it will become a personal and professional competitive differentiator for you.

At my corporate Toastmaster club at #Oracle we have encouraged our members to not only deliver "live" virtual speeches but also recorded (unedited) video speeches.

So, in the spirit of practicing what one is preaching I recorded a speech for a club meeting I was not able to attend.

The speech format at Toastmasters is that it is no more than 5-7 mins in duration, has a defined structure based on a topic (the topic of this speech was "Inspire Your Audience: We All have a Choice".

I wonder if this speech hit the mark?
